KOSTAL INVEOR M variable frequency drives
The KOSTAL INVEOR M frequency inverter is our solid drive controller, which can be optimally adapted to the needs of our customers thanks to its modular concept. It is available as a three-phase and a single-phase variable frequency drive in five sizes from 0.25 kW to 22 KW, making it highly versatile. The robust aluminium housing supports its flexibility such that the INVEOR M can also easily meet the requirements of mobile applications, such as in cooling or braking units.
Thanks to the motor-mounted design, the INVEOR M does not require a control cabinet or supply cables, which reduces the EMC emissions and acquisition costs. At the same time, the tidy and clean look ensures a smart overview. And the same is true across all areas of application. Single-phase or three-phase? Choose the model with the voltage to suit you: the 1-phase variable frequency drive with 230 V or the 3-phase variable frequency drive with 400 V.

- INVERTERapp: Commissioning - parameterisation - monitoring, you can now do all this easily and wirelessly via a Bluetooth connection from your mobile phone or tablet.
The INVEOR M variable frequency drive's control process
The motor-mounted INVEOR M frequency inverter is available in five sizes covering a power spectrum from 0.25 kW to 22 kW. It therefore provides the appropriate power for each of your areas of application – and always with sufficient overload capacity.
Thanks to the field-oriented sensorless control, the INVEOR M also attains improved start-up torques and higher efficiency. This increases the control quality of the speed control for your electric motors and therefore your productivity. And at lower cost since there is no need for the maintenance-intensive encoder feedback.
INVEOR M performance parameters
- 150 % overload: Use 150 % overload for up to 60 seconds if required and meet power peaks with ease.
- Speed setting range of 1:20: Control your three-phase motors precisely and accurately – thanks to an optimised speed setting range and very good control quality.
- Control of synchronous and asynchronous motors: take responsibility for the speed control of all your asynchronous and synchronous motors – up to efficiency class IE4.
- 0.25 kW - 22 kW power: Choose the variable frequency drive with the right power for you from five assemblies – and only pay for what you really need.
Further INVEOR M equipment features
Of course, with the INVEOR M you also benefit from easy commissioning thanks to automatic motor identification (SelfCom) as well as special application-specific functions such as blockage detection and dry-running protection. With the SelfCom function, the motor is measured at the push of a button and provides high-quality control parameters, eliminating the need for time-consuming calibration on the test bench. With its STO function, which leads to immediate and safe shutdown of the power output stages when activated, the INVEOR M achieves Sil3 PLD certification. The integrated soft PLC allows access to all internal process variables and at the same time enables the implementation of customer-specific functions. A wireless connection via Bluetooth offers the possibility of convenient commissioning, parameterisation and monitoring via app.
INVEOR M variable frequency drive communication
The KOSTAL INVEOR M variable frequency drive has an extensive choice of interfaces and communication options. This means you can integrate it into all your processes and continue to use your previous internal fieldbus system without any problems.
Interfaces of the INVEOR M variable frequency drive:
- CANopen, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, SERCOS III, EtherCAT (optional): Take advantage of the diversity of our various application circuit boards. And equip the INVEOR M variable frequency drive with the interfaces that suit you, in addition to the standard Modbus RTU.
- Bluetooth (optional): Control the INVEOR M frequency inverter via Bluetooth if you wish. Either permanently installed or as a plug-in solution.
